Cable Trunking System

General installation instructions

Installation shall be carried out according to the standard SFS 6000:2002.

The Instal cable trunking system is made for installation of electric and tele and data communications cables, as well as related mounting boxes. Casing class of covered trunkings is IP41. Cable trunkings can be installed also in humid environments. The used cables and boxes shall meet the requirements of valid installation norms and standards. Conductors and cables are installed inside the cable trunking. Boxes are installed in cover openings of the cable trunking. After installations cable trunking will be closed with covers included in the system.

In some cases the cable trunkings can be used for installation of also construction technical, or other system tubings. Suitability of conduits for installation of other than electrotechnical products shall be approved by the product supplier and Meka Pro Oy.

Materials:
- Aluminium parts are made of extruded aluminium EN AW-6063
- Plastic parts are made of injected plastic
- Steel parts (joints) are made of hot galvanized steel sheet
- Painted parts are powder paint coated (electrostatic powder coating), standard colour white RAL 9010
- Galvanised products have galvanization in natural colour (EN 000)

Electrotechnical values:
- Nominal voltage 230/400V
- Casing class IP41 (with installed covers and stop ends)

Mounting boxes and socket outlets

Nearly all socket and tele/data accessories series available on the market can be installed in the Instal cable trunking system.

No separate mounting box is required with quick-connect mounting outlets (of the type Ensto ProDuct). When using traditional flush mounted products (of the type Ensto Jussi), a separate mounting box Instal KR is required.

Mounting box Instal KR or another box, approved for conduit installation, shall be used.

For installation of cable trunking in humid environments, IP34/IP44 version of the mounting equipment series above, shall be used.
